We built what we could not find
We looked, as customers, for a storage space that was genuinely easy and practical to use day to day. Instead we found units on narrow streets, with difficult access, steep ramps, low ceilings, poor lighting, and loading that had to happen out on the road.
So we decided to build the storage space we would have wanted to find: easy to reach, comfortable, bright, and designed so that moving and storing things is as simple as possible.
Nothing like what you are picturing
When you hear «storage in a basement» you picture something specific. You will not find it here.
The truck reaches the entrance
No parking on the street. No carrying from a car park. No waiting for a lift.
The tailgate meets the ramp and from there you walk straight into the corridors. Whether it is a house move, pallets or a boat’s equipment, your things travel a few metres instead of many — and that is the difference between one hour and half a day.
It is the first thing people coming from elsewhere mention, and the one thing nobody can copy without rebuilding a building.
What we did differently
Every decision here came from something that had cost us somewhere else.
3.5 m ceiling height
We did not settle for the usual 2.4. A 7 m² unit here holds 25 cubic metres — as much as a 10 m² unit elsewhere. You pay for square metres and get cubic metres.
The truck reaches the ramp
The tailgate meets the entrance. No carrying from a car park, no waiting for a lift, no losing half a day on a move.
A detector in every unit
Not only in the corridors. In each unit separately, because a fire starts inside a space, not in the corridor.
Water sensors on both levels
Together with a ventilation system and a reinforced concrete building. That is why archives and accounting firms find here what they are looking for.
Bright, clean, with music
A place that does not depress you on the way down. LED lighting, hard-wearing floors, cleaning that is actually checked, and music in the corridors.
Free Wi-Fi throughout
Not a luxury, a tool. Scan an invoice from your archive, photograph stock for your e-shop, run an inventory check, talk to a client with the goods in front of you. You work next to your things instead of carrying them to the office.
We give you the numbers
The site shows the height, the cubic metres, the price for every duration and which sizes are sold out — without having to call to find out what it costs.
Who we are
XtraSPACE is operated by EXTRA SPACE O.E., at 42 Nik. Plastira St in Agios Dimitrios, with the customer entrance at 99 Verginas St. We are a small team, not a chain. You will speak to someone who knows the building and can answer without asking anyone else.
The building was fully renovated before it opened as self storage. The drawings with the exact area and volume of every unit are available if you want to see them before you decide.
What we do not promise
We are not the cheapest on the market and we are not trying to be. We do not have dozens of branches or hundreds of units — we have one building that we know inch by inch.
If you are looking for the lowest number, you will find it elsewhere. If you are looking for a place you will trust with a decade of archives, with a boat’s equipment or with the contents of a home mid-move, come and see it.
